I made this short animation for a school of motion course I completed this year. The class was taught by E.J Hassenfratz and for an assignment, we were asked to render realistic textures on a pair of consumer headphones.
The biggest challenge was getting the feel just right. One philosophy they hammered over and over again was to treat each project like we were dealing with a major client-- hence the SOMOS title card at the end and the logos on the headphones.
I combined the right sound, texturing, and lighting to make every frame pop.
