One of the more technical projects I've worked on in recent memory, Homeboys, a US-based company, tasked me with creating the launch video for their NFT line. Homeboy focuses on the Compton aesthetic, crafting unique NFT from the popular stereotypes.
They wanted a carousel-style animation showing off the characters they're releasing at launch, but what started with only 12 characters reached over 30 as more NFTs were added to the project later on. Starting from scratch would have set the project back by weeks. Anticipating this, I created an Aftereffects script during the storyboarding phase.
It was a character mixer, and it allowed me to make alterations to the character orders, add new ones, and make post-edits easier. More than once, the client returned with a correction and wanted to add new characters, and I made the updates easily. It allowed the clients to release their trailers on schedule, and it was an invaluable learning experience.
